Gift Card Fundraising Program

Lake Country Co-op's Gift Card Fundraising Program helps local non-profit organizations and community groups raise funds by selling Co-op gift cards. Supporters purchase gift cards to use on their everyday shopping, while participating groups earn a percentage back to support their programs and activities.

Whether you're raising funds for a sports team, school, youth organization, or community initiative, this program provides an easy way for families and supporters to contribute through purchases they're already making.

2026–2027 Gift Card Fundraiser Applications

Applications for the 2026–2027 Gift Card Fundraising Program will be released in two intakes.

First Application Intake

Applications open:

Tuesday, August 11, 2026 @ 10:00am

Second Application Intake

If your organization is not ready during the first intake, a second round of applications will open:

Tuesday, September 22, 2026 @ 10:00am

Only a limited number of fundraising dates will be available during the August intake. Additional fundraising opportunities will be released in September to better align with team and activity schedules.

Apply to Participate

Applications can be submitted online once the intake period opens.

Important: Only one application per fundraising group will be accepted.

Please coordinate with your coach, parent committee, or group representatives before applying. If your team or organization has not yet been confirmed, please wait until your plans are finalized before submitting an application.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are welcome from:

• Registered charities and non-profit organizations exempt from taxation under the Canada Income Tax Act whose programs and services benefit our communities.
• Not-for-profit community organizations.
• Youth organizations and sports teams.
• Groups that are located and actively operate within Lake Country Co-op's trading area.

How the Program Works

1. Submit your application during an open intake period.
2. Once approved, pre-sell Lake Country Co-op gift cards using the order forms we provide.
3. Submit your completed sales summary.
4. Lake Country Co-op will invoice your group at the discounted amount.
5. Pay by certified cheque or bank draft.
6. Pick up your gift cards and distribute them to your supporters.
7. Keep the discount earned as your fundraiser proceeds.

Waitlist

If all fundraising dates become full, organizations may submit a waitlist application.

Should a fundraising opportunity become available due to a cancellation, waitlisted groups will be contacted in the order their applications were received.

Program Guidelines

Please review the following program requirements before applying:

• Participation is subject to approval by Lake Country Co-op.
• Groups may participate once per fiscal year.
• Equity is not earned on fundraising gift card purchases.
• Payment for all gift card orders must be made by certified cheque or bank draft at the time of pickup.
• Co-op Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash.
• Gift cards cannot be used toward:

• • payment on account
  • bulk petroleum
  • crop protection products
  • fertilizer
  • grain bins
  • livestock equipment
  • bulk feed
  • home renovation projects
  • quoted or estimated building material purchases

• Volume Discounts and Special Discounts do not apply to purchases made using Co-op Gift Cards.
• Gift cards purchased through this program are intended for everyday consumer purchases.
• Misuse of gift cards purchased through this program may result in removal from future participation.
• Organizations with social media accounts are asked to recognize Lake Country Co-op by tagging @lakecountrycoop on Facebook and Instagram.
• Participating groups are required to attend a cheque presentation following the completion of their fundraiser.
