On August 27, 2026, the Board of Directors of Saskatoon Co-op approved a motion to enter into an amalgamation agreement with The Asquith Co-operative Association Limited.

Co-ops have always been grounded in the strength of working together to better serve their members and communities. That same principle is at the Centre of this proposed partnership. By joining together, Asquith Co-op and Saskatoon Co-op will be better positioned to respond to a changing and increasingly competitive marketplace, while bringing together the people, resources, and experience needed to continue evolving. Just as importantly, this partnership would give members more opportunities to use their Co-op numbers across a wider geographic area and realize greater value from their lifetime membership benefits.

The values that guide our Co-ops will continue to be the foundation of how we operate. Through this partnership, our shared commitment to local investment and community support would be strengthened, helping us better serve members today and into the future.

To vote on the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1.The draft Amalgamation Agreement between The Asquith Co-operative Association Limited and The Saskatoon Co-operative Association Limited (The “Co-operative”) made effective the 27th day of August, 2026, providing for the terms and conditions of their Amalgamation and continuation as one co-operative under the name The Saskatoon Co-operative Association Limited pursuant to the Co-operatives Act, 1996 of the Province of Saskatchewan, be and is hereby approved, confirmed and adopted.
2.The directors and officers of The Saskatoon Co-operative Association Limited be and are hereby authorized and directed to do such acts and things and execute such documents as may be necessary or desirable to implement the said amalgamation.
